Up to 50% grant funding for rural business solar installations.
The USDA REAP Grant program provides grants covering up to 50% of eligible project costs for rural small businesses and agricultural producers installing renewable energy systems. Combined with the 30% commercial ITC, qualifying businesses can offset up to 80% of their solar system cost through grants and tax credits alone. To capture both REAP and the ITC, plan to begin construction before July 4, 2026 — actual physical work on-site is required to establish that construction has begun.
Grants cover 25-50% of total eligible project costs. No repayment required — this is free money for qualifying rural solar installations.
Available to businesses in rural areas (population under 50,000) and agricultural producers of any size. Many NEPA communities qualify.
Solar Mason prepares complete REAP applications including energy audits, project descriptions, financial proformas, and technical specifications.
REAP has quarterly application deadlines. Solar Mason tracks funding availability and helps you apply during the optimal window for approval.
